Winter Skin care Tips

Changing weather means change in daily skin care routine. No matter what is the type of skin, every skin type requires intimate care with change in weather.

It takes time for skin to adapt the particular temperature.

By the time skin becomes adapted to a type of temperature; change in temperature occurs and makes one to change the daily routine of skin care. Winter is a season that requires very deep skin care.

Skin is required to be moisturized daily and exfoliated frequently in this season. Following are the tips and guidelines that can be followed for the extensive skin care in winter:

* Begin the day with a hot bathe, but switch for ten to fifteen seconds to cold shower. Now again switch on hot shower. Repeat the procedure for about two minutes. This technique is known as hydrotherapy. This therapy revitalizes the skin by exciting the active blood flow throughout the body. It is highly favorable therapy for all types of skin in winter.

* After coming out of the shower, use a nice moisturizer to moisturize the entire body. Apply the moisturizer by gently massaging it on the skin. Massage until the moisturizer is completely observed in the skin. Select a moisturizer that contains zinc oxide and sun protection formulae. Skin requires sun protection in every season.

* Winter is a season when dead and dry skin gets accumulated very fast; one is required to exfoliate the entire body at least twice a week. Exfoliation will allow the skin to soak up more moisture and remain moisturized for a long time. There is no production of oil from oil glands of skin in winter. This is because of the low outer temperature and central heating. In this condition, there is more loss of water from the skin. This might result in premature wrinkled skin. All these conditions can be avoided by skin exfoliation.

* One should drink at least eight glass of water to overcome the water loss from the skin. One can drink warm water with lemon. This is a Chinese herbal therapy, which is considered as absolutely safe method to give an energy boost up to the whole body. The warm lemon water work as detoxifier and detoxifies the entire body system. This therapy enhances the process of blood cleaning and reduces the amount of toxins which are responsible for making the skin dry and chapped.

* Last but not the least is to take at least eight hours sleep at night. This is when the damaged part of skin is healed. One must take enough sleep to get the healthy and glowing skin everyday.
